Puente, Sr. is a proud native and resident of North Texas. He is co-owner and President of Marketing and Sales for Southwest Office Systems, Inc. In his current role, Mr. Puente handles all aspects of the sales, marketing, public relations and liaison with the manufacturers SOS represents. In addition, he has joint responsibility for the financial aspects of SOS.</p> <p>Mr. Puente received his formal education via Fort Worth ISD and the University of Texas at Arlington. He believes in active participation within his community. In addition to his service to the Finance Commission of Texas, he is a member of the board of directors for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, board of directors for Dallas Regional Chamber, and board of directors for the Tarrant County Prayer Breakfast. In recent years, he has served as the Chairman of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as well as on the Board of Directors of Fort Worth Chamber, North Texas Commission, Casa Manana Theater, Big Brothers Big Sisters-Lone Star, Greater Irving Chamber and others.</p> <p>His family - wife, Mona, and his children, Vincent Jr. and Lindsay – is far more important to him than any business accomplishment he could ever desire. Vince and Mona are active in local, state, and national politics as well as various community organizations. Since 1982, Borochoff owned many historic Houston eateries including Boston Sea Party, Dave's, and The Back Bay. He was the creator and producer of the iconic Party On the Plaza and Funday In the Park music series in the eighties and nineties and owned one of the largest catering businesses in Houston during that time. Borochoff is immediate past chairman of government relations for the Greater Houston Partnership and immediate past vice chairman of The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. Previously, Borochoff has held leadership positions as a director of the National Restaurant Association and was twice President of the Houston Restaurant Association. He is a volunteer for the HEART Program, a non-profit specializing in the training and employment of intellectually and physical disabled adults.
